The 4th of July to me is about family. I have family come to visit this time every year, and we have always celebrated together. I took these photos to try and capture how it felt to continue the tradition with one less person.

In August 2023, I went on the Veterans Honor Flight as the representative of my high school’s newspaper. My assignment was to document the Veterans experience and report on it through journalism and a photo gallery.
I designed this traditional newspaper print out of The McHenry Messenger as a practice for sectionals. I was selected to represent our publication in newspaper design and placed first in our sectional, which got me to state.
For April Fools of 2023, our school newspaper decided to do a satirical issue poking fun at some of the issues and trends of our school. I decided it would be fun to get everyone involved, so I had everyone draw on post it notes and incorporated it into our logo. I also designed the print outs we made.
I designed, printed, and cut out this vinyl sticker in my high school graphic design class. I made it in honor of my aunt, including a few things that reminded me of her.
